Robbie Dale rescued these pictures from the trash when Singel 160, Caroline's Dutch office, was being cleared. Some had appeared in the book Radio Caroline, published by Landmark Press in 1967. Many of them were taken by Doug McKenzie who very kindly gave The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame permission to re-print them here. Our grateful thanks to both Doug and Robbie. Doug McKenzie carried on working as a professional photographer until well into his eighties but sadly he died in 2014. |
