As well as the wonderful still photos that Nick Bailey took on board the Caroline ship, he also shot some home movies. He says: “I have some cine
footage I took over two separate occasions on Caroline North, which I thought had been lost.” The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame is very grateful to him for sharing this unique glimpse into
life on the mv Fredericia. Filmed with a borrowed domestic cine camera during the summer of 1967, the footage is silent.
Both films show the DJs, engineers and crew sunbathing on deck, Tony Prince diving off the side of the radio ship and Jerry Leighton, Mick
Luvzit and Nick returning to the Isle of Man on the tender Offshore 3 for shore leave. On both occasions there is a coach load of people to welcome them in Ramsey harbour and, in the second film, Mick Luvzit's wife Jan is seen
standing on the quayside waiting for her husband.
