Caroline Countdown of Sound
10th February 1973

Radio Caroline returned to the air at the end of 1972 broadcasting from the mv Mi Amigo, anchored off the coast of Holland. Programmes of rock music began in Dutch and English but in early February the music format was changed. The station began playing pop by day, retaining the more progressive programming for late at night. On 10th February a Top 40 chart show was added to the daytime schedule every Saturday afternoon.

This was the first chart and it contains an interesting mix of Dutch and British releases. It has kindly been provided by Kees Mouwen.

This particular run of Caroline Countdown charts was short-lived. The station was silenced by generator failure at the end of the following month.
