Radio Atlanta began broadcasting its ‘Hit Parade’, a Top 20 countdown, at Sunday lunchtime from 7th June 1964 on the Turntable 64 programme. On that first show, presenter Tony Withers mentioned some ‘last week's positions’ so it seems they previously had a chart, even if it hadn't been broadcast before. Those positions were noted down by listener Ate Harsta and passed to The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame by Hans Knot. Our grateful thanks to both of them. |
