The details of this chart were obtained from a recording shared on the Radiotrefpunt (radio meeting point) forum and confirmed by this site. Our grateful thanks to both. Since RNI had returned to the air earlier in the year, the Dutch and English programmes had used the same chart, made up of releases from both countries, but this was the last Super Hit 50 to be shared. Soon after this the International Service started using its own chart, different from the one used by the Dutch. It was called the Prediction Hit 40.

An extract from the Radio Northsea International ‘Super Hit 50’ show from 1st August 1971 with Crispian St.John. Dave Rogers has the news on the Apollo 15 mission and there is a brand new programme schedule to promote. This line-up did not last long as Steve Merike and Alan West both left the station soon after (duration 3 minutes 37 seconds)
