Radio 227 Top 50,
2nd - 11th June 1967.

Radio 227 was a Dutch language pop station which broadcast off the English coast from a ship it shared with Radio 355.

This chart was passed to us by Svenn Martinsen who has carried out extensive research into the stations which were based on that ship, the mv Laissez-Faire (also known as the Olga Patricia). You can see the results of his endeavours in the essay A Radio Rose of Texas.

This chart is dated Friday 2nd June 1967. A chart issued the previous week can be found here but, confusingly, the ‘last week's positions’ given on this chart do not match the positions given in the other chart. We do not know why this is. Is it possible that another chart was issued between the two? If you can shed any light on this, please get in touch.
