Radio 270 Top 40,
26th June 1966.

This Radio 270 Top 40 came from a chart collector called Hans Blaauwbroek but he didn't originate it. In fact he can't remember where he got it from but he passed it on to Mary Payne who kindly shared it with us. Our thanks to Hans, Mary and the unknown person who took the trouble to save it in the first place.

Hold On, I'm Coming
Sam & Dave

* These two records have been given the same last week position. Is this correct?

** Whoever wrote this chart down noted the version of “Hold On, I'm Comin'” as being by Sam & Dave. They did the original version, released in the UK on 13th May, but in late June 1966 Radios Caroline and City were playing the version by Cliff Bennett & the Rebel Rousers (released 3rd June). Can anyone confirm that Radio 270 was still sticking with the original?

The links from the songs on this page lead to the Amazon MP3 Store where you can hear short audio clips of the tracks and customers in the UK can buy downloads. Please see this note.

Radio City's City Sixty for this week is here. Swinging Radio England's Boss 40 is here.
