In August 1966 the music industry trade paper Record Retailer stopped publishing the charts for individual offshore radio stations but, instead, produced a grid showing a summary of which stations were playing which records from the official sales Top 50. Thank you to Brian Long for supplying a cutting from 11th August 1966 which gives this summary. Although it is fascinating to compare what the different stations were playing, it is worth noting that the magazine didn't always use charts from the same week. In this case the Radio London and Radio Scotland charts are those broadcast on 31st July, those for Caroline, City and 270 are from the following week. |
