David Sinclair's career in radio began when he spotted this article in The Orpington & Kentish Times of 11th February 1966. The subject of the article, Richard Palmer, lived near David in Kent. He made contact with Richard, expressed an interest in joining Radio Essex, made a demo tape and the rest is history.

David moved to Canada many years ago but, when he visited the UK in July 2015, checked out the archive section of Orpington library to see if it had a copy of the original article - and it did. Thanks very much to David for sharing the cutting with The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame.
