RADIO DAYS CONFERENCE 2023, TIMETABLE. |
|
The proceedings kicked off at 11:00 with Roger Day welcoming everyone and talking us through the programme. The first session was due to be on ‘The Eighties Pirates’ but, at that point, only one of them had made it to the stage - so Roger interviewed him. |

The rest of the eighties DJs were rounded up and made their way to the stage. |
Sitting left to right: Nick Bolland, Tony Kirk, Carl Kingston, Paul McKenna, Carol Maszka (who worked on board the mv Ross Revenge when the ship was being prepared for Radio Caroline in Spain), Mike Barrington, Peter Philips, Paul Rusling - but no seat for John Dwyer. |
|
More chairs were found. John now had a seat, far right, but there was still no sign of the scheduled session host, Paul May, who was busy elsewhere. Peter Philips took charge. |
After lunch Susan Moore, daughter of Reg and Dorothy Calvert, gave a presentation about her parent's station Radio City, and Reg's tragic death. |
