A visit to the Ross Revenge

20th March 2026: “Spirit of the Seventies”

Following the well-received Spirit of the Seventies broadcasts of 2022 and 2024, a third reunion event was held between 20th and 22nd March 2026. The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame was honoured and delighted to be invited to join the team on the Ross Revenge on the first day.

As before, a number of Caroline DJs from the seventies came together to provide programmes full of music and memories from their era. As well as some who had been part of the previous broadcasts, there were two who hadn't been there before: Nick Richards and Steve Kent, the latter making his first Caroline broadcast since 1977. Other former colleagues, such as Tom Anderson and Dutch DJs Rob Hudson and Mark Jacobs, joined in by phone from their homes in France and Holland respectively.

Recordings of all the weekend's programmes can be found in the Radio Caroline Archive on Mixcloud.

Also visiting the Ross Revenge that day was current Caroline broadcaster Mark Dezzani.
He shot a video on board which he has posted on Facebook.

Nick Richards made a video too, shared on the C103 Cork Facebook page.

Boat trips to Ross Revenge can be booked via the Radio Caroline website.

The ship is going into dry-dock for maintenance and repair. Details of the appeal to raise money for this much-needed work can be found at rossrevengeofficial.com.

We also have photos of the 2022 and 2024 Spirit of the Seventies broadcasts.

Many thanks to Stevie Lane.
