radio ships

The view from the Mebo II. Roger says “the ship in the middle with two masts is the Norderney (Veronica). We could normally see Caroline as well but I can't make out the mast so don't know if it is among them.” (The Caroline ship, mv Mi Amigo, left for the British coast on the evening of 29th August.)

The DJs and crew in the mess. Roger and Brian in the middle, Rudi Kagon on the left, Will the cook (with a glass in his hand). Thanks to Hans Knot for identifying Peter Hartwig (second from left) and his brother Werner Hartwig (second from right). Both were heard on Northsea Goes DX. Thanks also to John de Blok for telling us that the man on the far right is machinist Gerrit de Winter.
