The Caroline Countdown Of Sound,

This is another offshore chart kindly contributed by Per Arne Berggren. According to Jempi Laevaert, in his history of Radio Caroline South's charts (see his Stonewashed Collection), this was the last Caroline Countdown to be introduced in a primetime chart show from the south ship. Caroline Countdown chart positions continued to be mentioned by the DJs but there were no more chart shows (apart from a short-lived late-night revival in November 1967). This final lunchtime chart show was hosted on Caroline South by Tom Edwards. Does anyone know if Caroline North dropped its Countdown show at the same time? |
