Back in 2004 former Radio Caroline broadcaster Roger Day organised a very successful party to celebrate the station's fortieth birthday (pictures here). The event was so popular that he decided to hold another one for the 45th birthday. Unfortunately the venue of the previous party, The Red Lion, had closed down in the meantime so, for the 45th birthday, the ship-mates gathered at Ye Grapes pub in Shepherd Market in London. As before The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame helped Roger track down former Caroline employees and once again we were delighted to be invited to the party. Our grateful thanks to Roger. These photos were taken in and around the pub that Saturday afternoon. Happy birthday Radio Caroline. |
