Radio Day 2014 in Amsterdam

The annual Dutch Radio Day grew out of the Zeezenders 20 event of July 1978. It has been celebrating offshore broadcasting ever since. In recent years it has been organised (superbly) by Hans Knot, Martin van der Ven and Rob Olthof. Sadly Rob died in September 2013 and the other two have now decided that the 2014 Radio Day will be the last that they will run. The event will continue, in new hands, but - on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of British offshore radio - Martin and Hans bowed out with the biggest and best Radio Day so far.
 
Throughout the day there were sessions discussing various aspects of offshore radio. There are more photos on the Offshore Radio Nostalgia website's Flickr page, but here are a few we took:
