Robin Best's Radio 270 photo album

Robin Best was a DJ on Radio 270. He told us his story a few years ago (see here).

Sadly Robin has passed away since then, in May 2021, but his son Matt has very kindly sent us these photos of his father's, dating from his time on the station.

Radio 270 had a unique studio desk, built by a company called Tunstall Byers.

Radio 270 turntables

The turntables were mounted in gimbals to keep them horizontal, even in the roughest seas.

DJ at work

A DJ at work with the station's 100 record playlist pinned up in front of him. There is an example of one week's playlist here. Can anyone identify the DJ?

With grateful thanks to Matt.
