Who are Duncan's mystery guests?

Radio London's Duncan Johnson has unearthed a couple of photos from his time on board the ship. Unfortunately he can't identify two of the people in the photos. One of the pictures is of himself with a woman who he thinks might have been a journalist, possibly called Barbara, and one is of “Barbara's” friend, who may have been a singer.

She may be called Barbara, possibly a journalist from Paddington, London, with Duncan on the mv Galaxy.

Barbara's friend, possibly a singer.

We asked if anyone could shed light on the identities of the two mystery women. Correspondent Karl Jones writes: “On the subject of Duncan Johnson's photos, Brian Long's book The London Sound says that on 25th June 1965 staff from the magazine Cinnamon visited the Galaxy. I also have a recording of Dave Dennis from this date in which he gives a mention to the visit.” We believe that Cinnamon was a magazine for London's Afro-Caribbean community.
Thanks to Karl. If anyone has any more information, please get in touch.
