The Gary Stevens LP

Thanks to Chuck Eames for sending us cover scans of this oldies compilation album from 1966 featuring Swinging Radio England Boss Jock (and WMCA, New York, Good Guy) Gary Stevens.
 
The LP was on the Lost Nite label. Discogs reveals that Lost Nite was a specialist reissue label founded by Jerry Greene and Jared Weinstein in the early sixties. Disc jockey Jerry Blavat (the original ‘Geator With The Heater’) was a partner for a time but in the late sixties sold his interest in the company back to Greene and Weinstein. Lost Nite was known for releasing rare and hard-to-find doo-wop and R&B records and was one of the labels responsible for keeping the doo-wop genre alive during the late sixties and seventies.
