A video of Mick Luvzit's wedding day

At the end of 2018 The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame heard from Peter Robinson. He wrote: “I have a video that my father, Douglas Robinson, recorded when he was Customs and Excise officer in Ramsey, Isle of Man, which has some footage of Mick Luvzit's wedding day on Radio Caroline. Many pop stars came through Ramsey and I know those years with the Essex Girl supply ship to Radio Caroline were some of the best years in his life. Happy days. Dad passed away in December 2011 and he left lots of cine film. I have had them professionally digitised. This came up and it so great to be able to share it with others.”
We are very grateful to Peter for sharing it with us. Also appearing in the film are Mick's bride Janet and her brother, former DJ, Ray Teret. We also spotted a fleeting glimpse of Caroline North liaison man George Hare, standing at the back of the Essex Girl. Can anyone identify any of the other people in the film?
The original footage was silent but Kenny Tosh has added a soundtrack of Mick Luvzit's 1966 single A Long Time Between Lovers, and stuck a few extra still photos on the end. His version can be seen at the bottom of the page.

The original silent version:

We asked George Hare for his memories of the day. He replied: “Many thanks for this very interesting link. Mr Robinson (as we always called him) was indeed the H.M. Customs and Excise officer in Ramsey. The wedding day would have been one of his busiest days ever with all the various tender sailings. It all sure brings back memories - a day of chaos with delayed flights (with fog at the airport) and tide times running out for the return to Ramsey. Yes, a busy, hectic and stressful day for me. Really great to look back at. I think that I recognise myself standing on the back of the Essex Girl puffing a fag.”

Kenny Tosh's updated version with audio soundtrack:

With many thanks to Peter, George and Kenny.
George Hare's documents dating from the wedding are here.
Mick and Jan also feature in Nick Bailey's home movies; we also have Mick's wedding photos.
