The City Sixty, 17th - 24th December 1965

As before, the original document only lists the song titles, not the artists. We have attempted to fill in the gaps but, in some cases, have had to make an educated guess about which track is being referred to. If you spot any errors, please get in touch.

The previous chart was due to remain in force until 18th December. However this one is dated from the 17th.

* There were a number of songs released in 1965 called “Hey Little Girl” but we think this was probably by UK band The Chasers which had hit the record shops on 3rd December. Can anyone confirm this?

** This track is a bit of a mystery. As you can see, above, it is only identified as “Angels” on the original City Sixty document. After extensive research Brian Long has found one single of that name released in late 1965, on the Pye label, but it only came out in Ireland and was by the Medical Missionaries Of Mary Choral Group - not, one might think, an obvious act to feature on Radio City's chart! However both Brian and correspondent André de Raaij have suggested that the track could be “Leave It To Me” by The Band Of Angels which had also just been released. It does seem more likely. Can anyone confirm it?

Our thanks to Brian Long.
