Robbie Dale's Radio Caroline photo album

Robbie Dale joined Radio Caroline South in 1966. When the Marine Offences Act was introduced the following year he elected to stay with the station and was with it right up until the day the ships were towed away in March 1968. During his time with Caroline he accumulated a substantial collection of photographs and memorabilia which was left sitting in a store room, untouched. A few years ago he started to sort through it and very kindly scanned some items for The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame.

Robbie said “some of these picture have been in my collection for 40+ years. Some is stuff left behind at Singel 160 (the Amsterdam office) in 1968 - originally shipped over from Caroline House in 1967. Stuff that was heading for the dump before I salvaged it.” So some of these photos are from Robbie's time with Caroline but others are older - items he saved from the binmen. Some were sent to him by listeners. We are very grateful to him for allowing us to publish them.
