In February 1978 Radio Caroline began an album chart show. Although the Countdown programme was broadcast every week, the same Top 30 remained in force for two weeks.

A clip of James Ross starting the first Caroline Countdown of Album Sound programme on 20th February 1978. There is an advert for the Barry St.James Roadshow. Barry later hosted shows on Caroline and is still with the licensed version of the station today. This is an edited version of a recording available from www.azanorak.com. Our thanks to Ray Robinson (duration 3 minutes 40 seconds) |
Our thanks to Brian Nichols.
