It is twenty years since The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame last visited Radio Caroline's ship mv Ross Revenge (see here). The ship was then moored
in Tilbury docks.
In 2014 she was moved to a new home on the River Blackwater near Bradwell, Essex (see here). She is still there, where she is used for the monthly ‘Caroline North’ broadcasts and for other
special occasions.
One of these specials took place over the 2nd to 4th August 2024: the second “Spirit of the 70s” reunion broadcast.
We had been hoping to make another visit to the Ross Revenge for some time and this event seemed like the perfect opportunity. A number of the disc-jockeys who had been on Caroline in the late seventies were going
to be making a welcome return to the station. We wanted to join them. Many thanks to Peter Moore and Stevie Lane for making it happen.
